I am Echo Chen. In 2019, due to the pandemic, I picked up a paintbrush at home and began an unstoppable painting journey. In three years, I painted more than 200 pieces. Over the past two years, I’ve slowed down to mindfully enjoy the process of painting and creation. I discovered that the process of artistic creation can be both dynamic and graceful, a balance between movement and stillness. I began to explore various media on themes I love, experiencing the creative tension between different materials.
My works aim to evoke a dreamlike exploration through the natural beauty of flowers. I also have a passion for creating with feathers, inspired by their symbolism of healing in the Bible. I often imagine feathers floating among flowers or in the sky, believing they bring a sense of peace to people.
I am actively participating in exhibitions and related events, aspiring to become an artist who expresses the warmth of everyday life. Through my work, I hope to inspire the imagination of viewers and bring visual emotion, beauty, and reflection to the poetic city of Singapore.
